The Centre for Infectious Disease Genomics and One Health
The Centre for Infectious Disease Genomics and One Health is based in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University. We are a multi-disciplinary team of researchers interested in solving infectious disease challenges through a One Health Lens using advanced computational approaches and innovative knowledge engineering, and stakeholder engagement.

2022-09: Congratulations to Sarah Savić Kallesøe on her remarkable achievement!
Sarah Savić Kallesøe will be joining the Oxford Nuffield Department of Population Health to pursue her DPhil (Doctorate of Philosophy) in Population Health. She was named a fully-funded Oxford Clarendon Scholar and will join St Edmund Hall college in October 2022. Working with Dr Mark Sheehan, Dr Richard Milne, and Dr Mackenzie Graham, her work will focus on the nature of trust and trustworthiness of patient data-sharing programs from a philosophy and bioethics standpoint.

2022-04: Postdoctoral Researcher Zohaib Anwar participated in the SFU Postdoctoral Research Day by presenting COVID-MVP https://covidmvp.cidgoh.ca and Pandemics and Borders project https://www.pandemics-borders.org (poster competition). 2021-08: Dr. Hsiao received the Canada Foundation for Innovation John R. Edwards Leadership Fund to build a state of the art microbial genomic epidemiology lab at Simon Fraser University. See SFU FHS News for more details.
